DAY ONE – We met at Whistling Straits for our first round of the trip on The Irish Course. Many in our group had never been to Whistling Straits, so it took a few minutes to get over the majestic setting. Between rounds, many of us ate upstairs at Whistling Straits. I showed a couple of guys the men’s locker room, and found the Midwest Golfing Magazine with my article by Glen Turk sitting right by the fireplace. Made my day! We then headed over to Blackwolf Run where our bags were delivered and waiting for us. My afternoon round was highlighted by a hole out for eagle on the par 4 9th, made with an 8-iron from 155 yards out. We then feasted on pizzas delivered to the Inn on Woodlake before falling into a heavy sleep after our long day.
