2026 Laughlin Trip in Review

I decided to get out to Vegas a little earlier than normal to catch the Columbus Blue Jackets playing in Vegas against the home-town Golden Knights. The Jackets took the loss, but I got to see my buddy, Scott Ford, behind the bench for Columbus and see him after the game. Matt Mattioli and his crew got in early Friday morning and hit Angel Park and we all stayed at the Suncoast to get the trip going. On Saturday we all made it out to Laughlin in time to get ready for the big Packers vs. Bears playoff game. I still can’t believe we were all together to witness Green Bay blow a 21-3 halftime lead!!!

2026 was a throwback to the good old Mesquite days, with a group of only 9 participants. What we lacked in size, we made up for in gambling wins. It was by far the most profitable group-wide trip on the tables, with the “crapless” craps table taking the place of our digital “laser” craps table. There was more than one hot roll enjoyed by the group and good times were had by all! We golfed at Laughlin Ranch all 3 days and it was as enjoyable as we hoped it would be to keep our clubs there and not have to lug anything back and forth. The staff there is excellent, and the course is just too fun! Our “Stress-Free Bogey Gang” is already looking forward to taking the golf motorcycles out again next year!
